BETT show

Well i have to say that the BETT show was an experience.  Lots of technology under one roof, especially directed at education.

Amazing interactive whiteboards and printer technology.  Managed to get an A2 poster from a lovely man which was stunning!! (might add a picture at some point)

Best bit... stopping off at Krispy Kreme!  Can't beat their doughnuts.

YUM!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Well, I hope that everyone had a very merry new year and fully participated in the celebrations.  I am hoping that i accomplish a range of things this year... firstly that i add to my savings fund so that i can begin planning opening my new business.  Secondly, i need to get a trim figure so that i can glide in and out of my convertible in the summer; the sight of a whale squeezing out like a cork out of a bottle is not good!  Lastly i would hope to find more happiness and maybe someone to share a few chuckles with would be good.

Having spent far too much money over the festive period I have acquired a lovely range of new items both in my wardrobe and  my home.  The first, which i thoroughly recommend to everyone is a Lori Greiner mirrored jeweller cabinet.

A lovely piece of furniture and manages to hold all of my jewellery, which has been stored in boxes and a range of much smaller boxes.  Smaller jewellery boxes may have been more appropriate in times gone by, however with the mass of costume jewellery items a larger item like this is much more suited to the job!  The only thing that it may be a struggle to contain are the hard type bangles so if you may want to keep a drawer in another unit free for those!  If you want to know where you can buy one of these just message me as they come in a different colour wood as well as black or white.

The next item I am going to blog about is the Tresor Paris Neptune bracelet (montaigu) as it is due to arrive this week!

I am also due to attend the BETT show at Olympia this week so I will be adding my experience of that so keep reading.

Have a super week everyone xx

Christmas has been and gone.... new year is approaching!

Well, what a Christmas!  It started off on a bad note when my food supplies and presents were not fullfilled by a well known shopping company (Tesco!).  I found out the day before the shopping was due to be delivered that they were not going to supply me with my turkey, which i had preordered about 3 weeks prior, and about 12 other items!! This meant I had to do a last minute dash on Christmas eve, which is really not ideal and has left me unwilling to have anything else to do with this supermarket chain.  I am guessing I am not the only person whose Christmas stress was increased by this happening?

Christmas day was lovely, spending time with family and unwrapping all those presents.  Lots of joyful faces to warm the hearts of loved ones.  After finding a half decent turkey the dinner turned out might fine and filled everyones tums.  Lots of alcohol, giggles and fun!

Christmas over and more sales to explore. I have to say that finding a 30% code off for Uggs was too good an offer to miss so I plunged in and bought some!

I did my bit for charity and purchased a rather lovely Tresor Paris bracelet, specially designed to raise money for breast cancer care.  This bracelet comes in pink, black and white and feels so lovely and dainty and not badly priced at £25.

If you have some spare money and would like to show your support for breast cancer care then I definately think buying a Tresor Paris bracelet is the way to go and is so affordable too!

I would also like to take the time to wish all my readers

Happy new year!

I will be back in the new year to update my blog on a weekly basis with more fashion purchases, ideas and fun experiences!

cosy warm toes

Lovely day today.  Met up with a lifelong friend and had some pampering time; super lovely hair is now adorned.

My feet were cosy and warm after purchasing some lovely sheepskin boots a few weeks ago.  These are lovely and the best thing about the Emu brand is that they have an instep which adds to the comfort and stops you walking like you have flippers on!

I love this colour too.... super warm toes.

People think I am mad spending so much money on sheepskin boots when you can apparantly 'grab a pair in the highstreet for a tenner'.  Hmmmm, these people have clearly never felt sheepskin on their feet and don't understand the benefits of natural materials such as sheepskin.  The fact that they keep your feet at a constant temperature is fantastic, also no sweaty feet (which is great as you don't have to worry about people wondering where the awful smell is coming from!).  Sheepskin boots rock!

4 days till Christmas..... everyone ready?

Who is hoping for a pair of these beauties?

Lulu Guinness cherry doll face bag

I'm starting with this little gem of a purchase.  Lulu Guinness makes some really stunning bags and this one caught my eye.  Retails around the 250 pound mark, however some last minute bidding on ebay resulted in a half price purchase for this brand new product.

This is a really quirky bag with 2 compartments.  Now you have to be selective in what you place in this bag; there is no capacity for everything you own and the kitchen sink but I manage quite nicely with two smaller purses, a couple of make up essential items, the usual tablets, bottle of Chanel and my iphone4.  So enough of a size to be an every day bag but not if you are travelling and need something roomier.

I regularly get comments about this bag from young and old.  It certainly is a head turner and a bag to treasure.

New beginnings

Okay, so firstly let me start by saying that this blogging lark is all new to me, however I intend it to be just a taster of my world.

Recently a bit of money has entered my world, not much, but a bit so that I can buy some lovely things.  A few considered purchases is all I intended at first although I seem to have ended up with enough new things to fill up my bedroom and now I am left wondering where on earth I will store them all.  My plans to open up a business have completely gone out of the window and I am now going to try and save up over the next couple of years and see if this idea can become a reality as I am fed up with my current job and would really love to get into fashion a bit more.

On the subject of fashion I will be posting some of my recent purchases, you might like them, you might not but my idea of fashion comes down to personal taste, reality and affordability.

If you follow this blog you can decide for yourselves if you like the items that I have purchased or if you think they are the most vile thing since... (fill your own word in here! personally my words are... since I saw Fatima Whitbread hack out that cockroach!).  I will also be updating on my dream of opening my very own trendy hangout & the mischeif that I sometimes find myself in.

Who am I?  I am Petal.  (a person not a pug, sorry to confuse but how cutsie are these dogs?)
